Who'da thought that Stuttgart's pet project would wind up being the dominant platform in the company? Engineers quickly learned they had to hold the boxman back because he was a bit more nimble than his older brother. While all the marketing and prestige seemed to go to the RR, the MR platform sat there like a welterweight just waiting for the right coach who could think outside the rear engined box.
