In the '60s it wasn't just the engines coming out of Germany that were kuhl, it was the names too. "Estate" – sounds like a country cottage on wheels. "Station Wagon" – what is this, the Oregon Trail? But "Squareback" – there's a name that inspires pride in your longroof.
