The 2022 Shiftee Awards

From the celebration of our 10-year anniversary, to whatever the heck NFTs were, 2022 (aka 2020: Part 3) was full of plenty of highs and lows. That extends to each daily tee design too, and while not every piece of torso art can be a record-setter, we're incredibly grateful for all the loyal artists that have stuck with us this past decade, and those new submitters that give us even more to look forward to in the new year. As we look back on all that yesteryear had to offer, here were some of the standouts deserving of the golden torso.

Every since diving down the Volvo rabbit hole, we've wanted to do something around this silly shifter, but we could never get the story right until this. Thanks to Chad who created the art, we finally got to torso-ize it, and as someone who still quotes the movie it makes me laugh any time I see it. Plus, it's got to be our best shirt name of the year.

I really loved Erin Carr's lineup of shirts. They're different than our usual style, and she created a maximum design with our restrictive number of colors and utilization of screens - they're just impressive!

I love the way the artist uses the shirt as the imagined car body and his great use of colors to bring out details in the engine bay. I also appreciate the subtle way this design works as a secret hand shake between enthusiasts. IYKYK.
